Motor boats and yachts are perfect for those of you looking for a more relaxing and longer trip since they allow you to move faster and travel further distances if you’re wanting to cover a wider area of territory along the Croatian coastline.

Keep in mind that the faster you go and the further you travel, the more fuel you’ll need, which can be seen as one of the few downsides of a motored boat, but for sure it’s well worth it if you’re planning on island hopping or hitting many of Croatia’s stunning points.

In our charter fleet, we have more than 20 motor yachts from 8 meters and 1 cabin up to 28 meters and 5 cabins, although most of our motor yachts for rent are in between 10 and 16 meters with 2 to 4 cabins. Travelers have the option of two main airports whitin 15 minutes of driving when coming to Šibenik: landing on Split Airport or Zadar Airport. A little bit more distant lies also the Dubrovnik Airport. All mentioned are international airports, you can find direct flights from any part of the world.

 

What Do You Need to Charter a Yacht in Croatia?

Before officially booking your reservation for a yacht charter, it’s important to review rules, regulations, requirements, and your sailing skills to ensure a fun and safe time on board.

  • The mandatory requirements for entering Croatia and chartering a yacht:
  • If you are chartering a bareboat yacht, you will need a valid skipper license for Croatia. This is a must-have no matter what boat you’re driving because it validates your ability to drive a boat safely.
  • A valid passport or ID card from your country of origin or residence.
  • Refueling of the boat at end of use. You’ll be required to refuel the boat after your holiday with unleaded fuel only.
  • Tourist tax. This amount is payable directly upon arrival at the NCP marina.
  • Transit log / full comfort pack, which differs from boat to boat, and it covers all possible costs for: Wi-Fi, GPS plotter in cockpit, cockpit cushions, outboard engine with fuel, final cleaning, laundry, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, cooking gas, soap, liquid and sponge for dish washing, welcome snack pack (tea, coffee, water, premium local wine, honey, sugar, local sweets) and snorkeling mask.
  • Optional: deposit insurance at the lowest possible prices in Croatia.

 

Additional recommended requirements:

  • Driver's license. You might be required to provide a copy of it when you arrive at the marina. If you are under 18 years old, you will need your parent or legal guardian present at the marina during the check-in process.
  • Travel insurance (please check with your travel insurance company) which include medical / health insurance.We recommend getting insurance before starting your trip, as it will provide extra protection in case anything happens.
